For McGregor - The Woodlands windows

Some of the windows in the Woodlands Centre have poems on them - both in English and Gaelic.

My apologies that the photos are not easier to read (clicking on some enlarges them).

Sorry they're not better quality, Karen.

  1. These are amazing, John. Thank you so much for posting them. The words on the glass make visual the notion of palimpsest; the poetry, like other poetry I have read in translation from the Gaelic, is heart-wrenching. I was looking at photos of Lewis last night noting the utter absence of trees on the moors, forgetting completely the castle woodland (despite my photos).
    Thank you again.
    Take care, McGregor
