After shopping we went to Loch Branahuie on the Braigh. Cattle, sheep, Greylag Geese and a few gulls were the main occupants of the machair which was covered with daisies.
On the Loch a flock of Long-tailed Ducks was swimming around in the middle while one lone immature or female was close to the shore.
We walked back at a leisurely pace along the shore on the Broad Bay side of the Braigh.
The shore itself yielded pictures of wracks, Baltic Tellins, Tangle, a sea wash ball (whelk egg cases) and Gneiss.
